Sweet Lime Iced Tea Recipe

Sweet Lime Iced Tea

Recipe from Summer Iced Tea Recipes: 50+ Regular, Herbal, Milk, and Fruity Teas

 Prep: 10 min  Cook: 5 min  Serves: 16 

Ingredients:

1 gallon water

6 black tea bags

1 cup white sugar, or to taste

4 limes, juiced 

Directions:

• In a large pot, bring the water to boil.
• Add sugar to a gallon jar and pour in the boiled water. Stir to dissolve the sugar.
• Place the tea bags in the jar and steep for 45 minutes.
• Remove the tea bags and discard.
• Stir in the lime juice and stir to mix the flavors.
• When the tea has cooled to room temperature, refrigerate to chill.
• Serve over ice.

Variation:

Use 6 green tea bags instead of the black tea bags.

Fun Fact!

Limes offer numerous health benefits. They are rich in vitamin C, which heals wounds and also produces collagen. The citric acid is also beneficial for digestion.
