Pumpkin Pie Spice Mix

½ tsp ground cloves

½ tsp ground nutmeg

Pumpkin pie spice is more than 223 years old and one of the earliest recordings of it is in a 1798 cookbook by Amelia Simmons called American Cookery, which includes two recipes for pumpkin pie.
