Mini Piggies in a Blanket

Ingredients

1 refrigerated can of croissant dough (with 12 croissants)

24 pre-cooked cocktail sausages

1-2 eggs, beaten (for egg wash)

1 tsp poppy seeds

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F, or according to croissant package instructions. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Open the can of croissant dough and unroll it. There should be 12 triangular pieces.
Cut along the perforated lines on the dough to make 24 smaller triangles.
Place one cocktail sausage on the wide end of the triangle piece and roll it up snug.
Repeat with remaining sausages.
In a small bowl, beat the eggs. Brush the beaten eggs on each wrapped sausage.
Sprinkle the poppy seeds over each wrapped sausage and place on the baking sheet, spacing apart evenly.
Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and the croissant dough is cooked through.
Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes.
Serve with ketchup, mustard, or honey mustard.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Tip!

Change this recipe up for Halloween! Cut the croissant dough in strips and wrap around sausages or hot dogs like a mummy and add 2 drops of mustard or ketchup for eyes.
