⅓ cup honey

3 cups apple juice

Directions:

  • In a saucepan, bring water to a boil.
  • Remove from heat and add the tea bags. Let steep for 15 minutes.
  • Remove the tea bags. Sir in the apple juice, allspice, and honey. Mix well.
  • Let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for 1 hour to chill.
  • Serve over ice and garnish with a cinnamon stick and a slice of lemon.

Fun Fact!

Allspice dates back to the Mayan civilization. The Mayans used allspice to flavor their hot chocolate and other foods. Allspice carries the flavors of other spices like cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and a bit of black pepper and today we use it to add flavor to apple pies . . . and to this delicious tea!
