Restructuring the blog
I’m trying something new for a while for blog posts. I have spent the last two months restructuring and pivoting my business and thinking through what I really want to do with it now.
Simply put, I’m exhausted and overwhelmed with trying to do “all the things” to run an online business. This includes writing one or more blog posts a week, emailing subscribers once or twice a week, journaling, writing cookbooks, and writing my lifestory, as well as working as a Virtual Assistant.
Because of health issues, I cannot do all the things “they (online gurus) say” to run all aspects of an online business. I loved writing the journaling posts and sharing the journal prompts, but have found after deep reflection, I really want to focus my time on my own writing.
I want to put out more cookbooks and I want to explore more creative writing. I just run out of spoons before I can do all the things, so I’m going to focus on what I’ve wanted to do since I was six years old—write.
So, at least for a while, my blog posts are going to be more like journal entries and I’ll share what I’m working on, thinking about, reading, and share some recipes from my cookbooks. And I’ll share everything with my subscribers in their emails. I love my subscribers and readers and hope they will bear with me until I find a new direction for this business.
