Monday Prompt: A Day at the Zoo or Aquarium
Welcome to your weekly journal prompt! When is the last time you spent a day at the zoo or aquarium?
A day trip to the local zoo or aquarium is a good way to learn more about our animals, especially if you have a Spirit Animal that has come to you. Take a nature journal and draw what you see, ask questions in your journal about the animals. Find a bench and ‘sit with them’, letting your mind wander and wonder at the lessons they can reflect back to us.
Grab your favorite journal, a pen, and make yourself a cuppa—let’s jump in!
- If you could visit any zoo or aquarium in the world, which one would it be and why?
- Research an endangered species and write about why its conservation is important.
- If you could spend a day volunteering at a zoo or aquarium, what would you choose to do?
- Research an animal you’ve always been fascinated by and write a short biography about it.
- Imagine yourself exploring a zoo or aquarium in another country. Describe the sights, sounds, and experiences you encounter.
- Write about a memorable encounter you’ve had with an animal in the wild or at a zoo/aquarium.
