Hi there!
Well, it has been a scary and stressful week here. My son went to the hospital with a fever, nausea and pain and it turned out that he had a low-grade infection in his knee that has been dormant for months. It could have been there from his last surgery months ago or from any of the previous surgeries in the last year and a half.
He was transported back to his original doctor and hospital for 2 surgeries (#10 and #11 now) this week to flush out the infection this week. At one point we were told they may have to amputate his leg.
Now that they have figured out what kind of infection it is and started him on the antibiotics for it, he will be on an IV of antibiotics for 6 weeks, and then on pill form for another 6 months. Then surgeries to take bone samples to make sure it’s not in the bone.
THEN, if it is all clear, they will go ahead and do the full knee replacement that they were trying to delay until he was a lot older. He’s only 31.
So, I’m sorry for the delay and for the short newsletter this time around. I did not have time for the Spirit Animal this week.
The Halloween planner book and Etsy printables are almost ready. We just finished editing the planner and my daughter designed the cover. It looks awesome! It will be ready to publish to Amazon this week and should be available in a week or so! I will also start uploading Halloween stationery to the Etsy shop this week, so be sure to bookmark and favorite the Magic Heron Creations shop for updates.
I hope your week was a good one and that you are having a good weekend.
